MERV HUGHES

Former Australian Test Cricketer & Commentator

Merv Hughes is a former Australian cricketer, known for his right-arm fast bowling, his handlebar moustache and his entertaining personality. Merv currently works as a Commentator, Guest Speaker, Brand Ambassador and host of Merv Hughes Fishing show on Channel 7MATE.

Merv has also been the face of the Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation 'Talking Sh!t' campaign for the past few years, helping to raise awareness for bowel cancer screening and encouraging everyone to do the test.

Jason Gillespie is a former Australian cricketer who played all three formats of the game: Test, One Day and Twenty20. Gillespie primarily played as a right-arm fast bowler, but he was also a respected lower-order batsman - once scoring an unbeaten 201, the highest score by a night-watchman in international cricket history.

Gillespie has gone on to have an illustrious coaching career. He started coaching various teams in Zimbabwe in 2010 before being drafted as the bowling coach of the Kings XI Punjab team in the Indian Premier League in 2011. Later that year he went on to become the first-team coach of Yorkshire for several years. In this position, he saw the team upgraded to first division where they won two titles. Gillespie went on to coach the Adelaide Strikers team in the BBL for almost a decade.

JASON GILLESPIE

Former Australian Cricketer & Current Cricket Coach

WES AGAR

Australian Cricketer

Wes Agar secured a rookie contract with South Australia for the 2016-17 season after moving west from Victoria the season earlier. He was signed onto a contract with the Adelaide Strikers in 2016 and played 56 matches across eight seasons for the Strikers before being traded to the Sydney Thunder ahead of BBL|14.

Agar played two ODIs for Australia during their tour to the West Indies in 2021, being presented with cap No.231 by his brother Ashton.

Bowel cancer has had a profound impact on Wes's family, so he is now proud to be an Ambassador for the Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation.
