about our event
The Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation's annual International Women's Day Luncheon honours the remarkable women who support our mission in the fight against bowel cancer. Our goal is for guests to leave feeling inspired by the powerful stories shared by extraordinary women.
We look forward to welcoming you on the day.
Leah Stewart
Leah Stewart's life changed in a single minute. Facing what most people fear most, she made split-second decisions that saved her life, fighting back against the great white shark who took her arm and part of her leg. Her life was ultimately saved by an extraordinary band of heroes, but the first one to fight for her life was herself.
In the months since, Leah has been rebuilding her life from the ground up, adapting to life-changing injuries, learning to navigate the world in a new way, and facing further surgeries ahead. Through it all, she has chosen resilience every single day, and now shares her story to show others what's possible when determination outweighs fear and adversity refuses to define you.
Leah speaks on resilience, courage under pressure, and finding strength in the hardest moments - not as someone who has it all figured out, but as someone still in it, one day at a time.
