JLF Trek SA 2024

Too many amazing people die every year due to bowel cancer. I'm again lacing my straps to raise awareness about preventing and recognising this horrible disease.

May is a challenging month.

It was May 2018, when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Bowel Cancer.

It completely changed mine and my family's lives. However, I was lucky that it was found before it had spread too far and chemo seems to have prevented recurrence.

In May 2021, I reached a three year milestone and should have been celebrating, but instead I attended a funeral of an amazing lady that I was lucky to have met during treatment, whose story was so similar to mine, but hers had a different ending. I still think of her often.

Bowel Cancer - once considered an old man's disease, is killing too many amazing young people.
