JLF Trek SA 2025

We're taking part in The JLF Trek as a team to raise awareness for the early detection and prevention of bowel cancer.

We are participating in The JLF Trek SA and raising money for the prevention and early detection of bowel cancer, the second most common cause of cancer-related death in Australia.

I have been so appreciative of the support that many of my friends and family have provided to me since I was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in April 2007. This diagnosis proved to be a significant turning point in my life. My mother Shirley had battled bowel cancer for several years, and with other family members affected by the disease, she pestered me to have a checkup.
Her intuition proved correct with a colonoscopy detecting a tumour.
I had surgery to remove the tumour in May 2007 followed by six months of chemotherapy.
My mother passed away on the morning of my 11th treatment, leaving me with so much to thank her for.
Early detection proved to be a godsend.
Sharing my story, doing voluntary work for The Jodi Lee Foundation and getting involved in The JLF is my way of paying it forward to others now in the Bowel Cancer space. My friends and family are taking part in this event to raise awareness about the whys and wherefores of Bowel Cancer.

The Jodi Lee Foundation is a national bowel cancer prevention charity, reaching millions of Australians each year with their initiatives designed to help save lives.

We would love your support to reach our fundraising goal; any amount you can give is greatly appreciated.
