Doing it for Dan is doing it for the 5th year! Support us in raising awareness and help prevent Bowel Cancer from taking the lives of people like Dan

We are participating in The JLF Trek & Trail Run and raising money for the prevention and early detection of bowel cancer, the second most common cause of cancer-related death in Australia. 

2026 is Doing it for Dan's 5th trek, and it coincides with the 5th anniversary of losing Dan to bowel cancer. Dan was 36, healthy, played hockey and was a regular runner/walker/bike rider, when he was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. He was 38 when he died.  There is no doubt that he would be cheering us on while laughing at our lame attempt at training. We're trekking for Dan, but also for every other young person who faces this diagnosis, while raising awareness so that others can catch the disease so much earlier than we did.
