We're taking part in The JLF Trek as a team to raise awareness for the early detection and prevention of bowel cancer.
This will be the fifth time Optus has supported our people in SA to tackle the JLF Trek. While a big physical and mental challenge, it is a very rewarding and amazing experience for anyone who participates.
For our team it's about getting to the starting line, doing our best, supporting work mates and other trekkers along the journey.
Further - demonstrating the Optus values of Be Brave and Challenger Spirit - to test ourselves, push beyond what we think we are capable of while supporting a fantastic cause and raising much needed funds in the process.
We are also trekking in memory of our loved ones and peers who have been impacted by bowel cancer and some who have sadly lost their lives.
When we are trekking, when the going gets tough - it will be these loved ones & their memory which will power us on!
The Jodi Lee Foundation is a national bowel cancer prevention charity, reaching millions of Australians each year with their initiatives designed to help save lives.
