We're taking part in The JLF Trek as a team to raise awareness for the early detection and prevention of bowel cancer.
Our team, Thriving and Striding, is proud to be participating in the JLF Trek & Trail Run to raise funds for the prevention and early detection of bowel cancer — the second most common cause of cancer‑related death in Australia.
For several of our team members, early detection and timely treatment of bowel and breast cancer have been life‑saving. It’s the reason we are able to live active, fulfilling lives today and take part in the trek.
Each of us has been touched by bowel cancer in some way. We walk to support those currently undergoing treatment, to stand with survivors, and to honour the family and friends we have lost.
We encourage everyone to be proactive about their health: be bowel‑cancer aware and take the test. It might just save your life.
